I watched Novak against Nadal and Tsitsipas and I noticed that too many times he lost points out of him making the wrong decision in a rally he's winning or perhaps hesitating to finish a point off, he needs to look at that ahead of Wimbledon. Sometimes he plays a clearly wrongly timed drop shot, others he hits a bad smash from a ball that he probably should have let bounce so that he could have more time to hit a good smash winner, and then others he might have the space to hit a a mid-speed down the line winner but hits it back to the player instead to presumably reduce risk of playing the ball out. If he keeps his level and irons out some of the points he gives away... i think he wins the calendar slam.

Such a horrible audience...Booing the opponent of their favorite to extent of emotional breakdown is the reason she lost it.. and she was right at 55:35 when challenged the out and people started bullying as if she didn't have right to challenge.. it's a rule.. she could have focussed on her game but it's the constant bullying let her lose the match point in the set and then the eventually..Had she had Djoker mettle she would have won it and shut the bullies up..

@Shayne _D Now imagine every player who thinks he/she was victim of a bad call would cross the net and start arguing with the umpire and lines persons. Hingis had NO right to "challenge" anything, not even talking about her provoking everybody, including Steffi. Hingis never would have won that match. She faltered when she served for the match, about 30 minutes later than this incident. And Steffi would have won her 22 slams anyway, Seles stabbing or not. But Seles never would have won all those slams if the Graf family had not been blackmailed by some mobsters in 1990.

@Max E the crowd has been booing. She lost her cool and focus else she had almost won the match in straight set..rather the crowd behaved justification for hers but player can always challenge..many people complain that RG should have hawkeye..rather replay was Clearly showing her challenge was correct still she was penalised..yes for her behaviour they say. fighting for wrong is good only .in her speech she should have expressed the worst behaviour of crowd. Fans do a lot harm sometimes..monica seles is one example she was attacked and she couldn’t recover completely..she might have won many GS and steffi may not have 22 probably. Here hingis was exercising her right to challenge crowd were like bullies and she acted child like with i said had she had ignored it she would have won and then it would have been a befitting response to this horrible audience

She didn't have the right to cross the net. Hingis would have got the point anyway, it would have been a "let". The crowd booed only because Hingis behave like an idiot, from the start to the end. Hingis would have lost anyway as she almost always does against the superior Steffi.

What Novak hasn't done his whole career, Roger did many years ago: become and remain #1 for 237 consecutive weeks.

    1. Rainy
      19 сағат бұрын

@Alleespach Federer's consecutive weeks in number one wouldnt have happened with Prime Djokovic around (to say the least), and Nadal was virtually the world's number 1 starting from his destruction of Federer in the 08 French Open, followed by Wimby 08 and the official culmination at the Aussie Open 09. Roddick, Hewitt, Safin, Nalbandian were indeed hardly competition.
